Zach is a native Clevelander and graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2004. While attending Shaker he was the starting Tackle on the football team, was in the band program and a member of the Latin club. He started his career in the grocery business bagging for Giant Eagle while in high school. He found his way in the produce section, quickly working his way up to produce manager. For over a decade he ran produce departments in the natural foods and organic specialty stores, working directly with small local farms to become certified organic and sold in retail locations. Zach and his family have been staunch supporters of the city of Cleveland, especially the sports teams, and is currently working to instill the same values in his son Cosmo!
